Under the patronage of the Minister of Equipment and Transport, Mr Mohamed Abdoulkader Moussa Helem and Mr Mouna Osman Aden, Secretary of State for Social Affairs, in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh, the Mayor of the city of Djibouti, Fatouma Awaleh Osman, the President of the commune of Boulaos, Mohamed Ismail Omar, the Djibouti Social Development Agency, inaugurated the paved roads 39 and 42 realized in The framework of the Project PREPUD2 district 7 financed by the World Bank this Wednesday March 22, 2016 at 09:00 in Quartier 7.
This inauguration is part of PREPUD Q7. A project financed by the World Bank is implemented by the ADDS, which includes works and activities aimed at improving the quality of life of 5,000 households in this neighborhood by rehabilitating roads, Literacy and vocational training activities for women and young people, and improved sanitation and garbage collection services. It also has a social infrastructure component in the form of a community development center, a health center and three recreational areas for the neighborhood.
The Djibouti Urban Poverty Reduction Project, PREPUD II Q.7 has also set up a Community Development Fund (CDF) to support training, integration and awareness-raising activities.
Under the leadership of the State Secretariat for Social Affairs and in partnership with other sectoral ministries, ADDS implements programs, projects and sub-projects aimed at improving basic social services, in particular: health, Education, drinking water, youth support and basic sanitation, but also facilitates access to sources of finance, micro-enterprises for vulnerable populations, and encourages beneficiaries’ Development and management of programs and projects implemented
