The manual defines a method for taking account of environmental concerns in the implementation of operations and projects carried out under delegated project by ADDS. The methods and tools developed in
these documents should include:
1. identify and assess the positive and negative impacts generated by the work and by the operations and sub-projects on the natural environment, the built heritage and the living conditions of populations etc..
2. determine the procedure, during and after the completion of the work (in operation or project) to prevent, limit, offset, mitigate or remedy adverse impacts on the environment and enhance the positive impacts. These methods and tools are designed to be applied either « ex ante » for projects in the design phase, and « ex post » for operations and in past projects.
