The fourth day of the national week of social action took place on Thursday, January 21, on the heights of the city of Arta. The event brought together in the conference room of the hotel training center, Sunny Hill d’Arta, executives from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Solidarity (MASS) and those from the State Secretariat for Decentralization (SED), the prefectural and regional authorities, the customary leaders of the various localities of the Arta region, the spokespersons of the women’s associations and a plethora of young people, beneficiaries of the training programs of the FORJE project. For the MASS, organizer of this annual event, this is about taking stock of the various projects carried out in the Arta region and in this way rewarding the leaders of the various localities for their cooperation with regard to targeting. of the most needy families in their respective communities.
Each year, at this time, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Solidarity (MASS) in collaboration with the State Secretariat for Decentralization (SED) devotes an entire week to not only take stock of the achievements of the year elapsed but to discuss with the different communities and collect their grievances in order to place them on the agenda for the current year.
The MASS executives organizing this annual event, devoted the activities of the 2021 edition of this national week to popularize the achievements of the ADDS (MASS body responsible for the execution of projects) including those of the complaints made by the different communities, during the presidential tour in February of last year.
After Ali Sabieh and Dikhil, it is on the heights of the city of Arta and more particularly in the enclosure of the sectorial training center for the hospitality and tourism trades of this city located about forty kilometers from the capital that the activities of the fourth day of the national week of social action, took place.
On its arrival on the scene, the delegation led by the director of social affairs of MASS Amina Ahmed Warsama and that of decentralization of the SED, Fardoussa Ali Ahmed, was welcomed by the prefect Mohamed Cheicko Hassan, the president and the vice-president. president of the regional council of Arta, respectively Elmi Bouh Goudadeh and Filsan Elmi Hassan and a cheering crowd from the city of Arta but also from all the other localities in this region namely, Karta, Leyta, Damerjog, Omar Jaga,… .etc.
All these beautiful people first visited, under the footsteps of the social development director of ADDS, Dirieh Farah Souldan, a painting exhibition recounting the achievements of ADDS, placed at the entrance of the conference room of the Sunny Hill Center for this occasion and listened attentively to the explanations relating to the projects focused in the fields of health, road infrastructure, agriculture, the fight against insalubrity, etc., implemented in this region.
The ceremony, which continued in the conference room of the Sunny Hill Resort, was for the many personalities who spoke to praise the accomplishments of ADDS.
In her intervention, the director of decentralization of the SED, Fardoussa Ali Ahmed declared that in this action his ministry intends to strengthen the communities of the different regions in order to decentralize them.
As for the director of social affairs of MASS, Amina Ahmed Warsama, she told the participants that this meeting was neither the first nor will it be the last. According to her, her ministerial department will pursue actions aimed at setting up sustainable development projects according to a participatory and local approach.
At the end of the various interventions, the officials handed over to the customary leaders of the Arta region who participated in the targeting activities of the most needy families in their respective communities and in the sensitization of the population regarding the implementation implementation of various projects, certificates of merit and gifts to reward them and encourage them to persevere in this direction.
