The closing ceremony of the national week of social action took place yesterday morning in the Mouloud locality of the Dikhil region. The occasion was for the Minister of Social Affairs and Solidarity, Mouna Osman Aden, her colleague in decentralization, Hamadou Mohamed Aramis and the Turkish Ambassador in Djibouti, Levent Salim Sahinkaya, to inaugurate a brand new market, intended to promote traders in the informal sector of this village. Covering an area of 270 m2, this commercial building, thus baptized « Assoweh Market », is built by the Djiboutian Social Development Agency (ADDS), thanks to a donation from the better known Turkish cooperation and development agency under its acronym in English TIKA.
In addition to the duo of the Djibouti Executive and the head of the Turkish chancellery of our country, the deputy Nouria Wabérie Houffaneh native of this locality, the prefect of Dikhil, Aden Darar Moussa, the president of the regional council, Abdourahman Yonis Arreh, the director general of ADDS, Mahdi Mohamed Djama, resident coordinator of TIKA in Djibouti, Kutluhan Yucel, secretary general of MASS, Ifrah Ali Ahmed, director of CLE, Oubah Ali Malow, director of operations of CLE, Chehem Mohamed Abdallah, the president of the development committee of Mouloud Mahamoud Robleh Dabar, that of the Amicale Djibouto-Turque association, Mohamed Elmi Guirreh, the sub-prefect of Mouloud, Abdallah Robleh Dabar and many other personalities attended the inaugural ceremony of this market.
It should be noted that to strengthen the human capital in this sector of our country, the ADDS has, in addition to the establishment of this new structure of about thirty places equipped with a water tank of 3000 liters, carried out in Mouloud, 24 latrines in homes belonging to vulnerable families in this village, as well as a water tank and two drinking troughs.
After the inauguration, the government duo and other officials participating in this ceremony presented 30 young people from the Mouloud locality with end of training certificates to young beneficiaries of the FORJE employability project.
