The technical school Dikhil hosted on Saturday a ceremony marking the end of a training in auto mechanics. The event is attended by senior prefectural and regional leaders, leaders of the ADDS, and fifteen young learners dikhilois. They were presented with certificates at the end of their training, which lasted six months.
A attestations ceremony was held last Saturday at the technical school Dikhil. With sponsors like the prefect of the region, Mohamed Hassan Cheikho and President of the Regional Council, Abdurahman Yonis Arreh, which were surrounded by the director general of the Djiboutian Agency for Social Development, Mahdi Mohamed Djama, and the headmaster of the school, Mohamed Adoche Khairdon.
The event brought together locally beneficiaries of technical training. Over a period of 6 months, the training session was jointly organized by the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFOP) and ADDS with the financial support of the African Development Bank (ADB).
« This training program is part of a vast training site for young school leavers, to give them a second chance in life to be able to work. This major program is initiated by the President and implemented throughout the country by the MENFOP, « said the headmaster of the technical school of the town of Dikhil.
For its part, the program coordinator for the ADDS said the objective of the training was to teach school youth trades that will enable them to integrate better into working life and thus reduce unemployment, exclusion and poverty.
The main concerned followed for 6 months of theoretical and practical courses in mechanics and welding in the Technical High School Dikhil. 60 more of their peers have received driver training that has been sanctioned by obtaining a driving license. Many opportunities that complement and aim at a better orientation of beneficiaries to the sector of activities of their choice in the labor market at local and national level.
