The Director General of the ADDS, Mahdi Mohamed Djama, attended the closing of the last well of building work on Monday in the region of Arta. The ceremony was attended by the deputy prefect of Atar, Osman Elmi Waberi, and a team of ADDS.
The well construction project in the city of Atar, who came to an end, was implemented by the ADDS in partnership with the Association for the promotion of agriculture in Atar. The population of the town and many guests also participated in the ceremony.
The delegation led by the Director General of the ADDS was warmly welcomed by the locals who played songs and traditional dances.
To recap, the project consisted of digging four wells in solid construction of four tanks and the installation of four pumps.
This project was funded by the ADDS to improve the conditions of access to water for farmers Atar and the inhabitants of the area. These achievements are part of the framework of efforts by the agency in rural poverty reduction policy.
Thus, the partners have all welcomed the implementation of these projects on time and have respectively expressed the wish to see the proliferation of this kind of initiative to enable people to engage in income generating activities.
Recall that the director of ADDS as well as members of the team with some residents of Atar were able to visit the various sites of the projects.
On behalf of the people, a project beneficiary expressed his thanks to the Director of the ADDS and all the partners that have supported the implementation of the project contributes to the fight against poverty.
